Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and Eligibility

By downloading, installing, or using VibePause, you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms supplement the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), which also applies to your use of the app. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if that age is higher, and able to enter a binding agreement to use VibePause.

2. Service Overview

VibePause is a macOS menu bar app that helps you notice long coding sessions, recover with timely nudges, and keep the break routine lightweight. Free gives you the core session companion. Pro adds contextual and guided features for people who want more control.

3. Free and Pro Boundaries

• Free includes menu bar timer states, built-in app detection, Daily Flow and the nudge timeline, the three core nudge categories, text-only health nudges, today's session stats, idle detection, sleep and wake handling, and custom app addition.
• Pro includes everything in Free plus all seven nudge categories, Quiet Hours, interactive guided breaks, Vibe Check, full session history and insights, AI nudges, weather and city context, and custom tones and extra themes.
• Feature names and availability can evolve over time, but a feature is only available on Pro if the app or store listing clearly marks it that way.

4. Billing and Trials

Pro subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and include a 7-day free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

5. Permissions and Acceptable Use

VibePause may request the following permissions:

• Notifications — used to display nudges and reminders.

VibePause detects coding sessions by reading the foreground app identity. It does not use Input Monitoring, does not access keystrokes, and does not read text content. City context for weather-aware nudges is entered manually — no Location Services permission is required.

You agree not to misuse the app, reverse engineer it except where applicable law permits, interfere with the service, or use it in a way that violates law or harms other users.

7. Termination

You may stop using VibePause at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the app or related services if you violate these Terms, create a security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Termination does not automatically cancel App Store subscriptions. Manage billing through Apple. Data stored locally on your Mac remains under your control unless you remove the app or clear the data.

8. Intellectual Property

VibePause and all original content, code, logos, designs, and related materials are owned by J&L Serverid Ltd or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

VibePause is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

11. Dispute Resolution and Venue

Before filing a claim, contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the courts of Estonia, with venue in Tartu unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.

These Terms do not require arbitration and do not include a class action waiver to the extent such rights cannot be waived under applicable law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page or communicated in the app. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
