Help & information

Support

Help for a quieter coding day. Start with the topic that fits your question.

Permissions

For system notifications, open macOS System Settings → Notifications → VibePause and enable Allow Notifications. For improved idle detection, optionally enable VibePause under Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring. It uses activity timing without recording keystrokes or reading code.

Session detection

Open VibePause Settings → Apps & quiet hours and select your editor or terminal. Bring that app to the foreground and check the session timer. Then check the idle threshold in settings if stepping away does not pause tracking as expected. Background jobs and individual browser tabs are not tracked.

Guided breaks and reminders

In Settings → Reminders, review enabled categories. Check Apps & quiet hours for quiet periods, and Timing & sound for reminder timing and audio. Check whether reminders are paused or a focus timer is active. To take a break immediately, open Today and choose a guided break.

City and weather context

Choose a city in the app’s optional city setup. If weather is unavailable, check your internet connection and city selection. Break reminders still work without weather. City requests use Apple services; no GPS permission is required.

Local data

Open Settings → Privacy → Export Local Data to save a JSON copy. Under Danger Zone, Clear Local Data removes app-managed activity and city information. Full Reset also resets preferences and the device identifier. Manage previously saved exports and backups separately; uninstalling is not guaranteed erasure.

Mac App Store purchase

One purchase includes every current feature. Apple shows your local price and handles payment and refund requests. For installation issues, confirm that your Mac runs macOS 14 or later and that you are using the Apple account used for the purchase.
