Privacy Policy
How your information is handled, and the choices you have.

1. Who is responsible
VibePause is operated by J&L Serverid OÜ, Haaviku tee 9, Külitse alevik, Kambja vald, Tartu maakond, 61702, Estonia, registry code 11478495. We are the controller for personal data we receive through the website, optional app analytics and support. Company details.
This policy covers the VibePause Mac app and vibepause.app. Contact [email protected] about personal data.
2. Data on your Mac
The app processes selected foreground app identifiers, session duration, idle state, reminder responses, guided-break activity, focus timers and preferences. Session history and settings are stored on your Mac. VibePause does not read your code, record keystrokes or inspect window content.
Input Monitoring is optional and improves idle detection using input activity timing. You can manage it in macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring. Notifications are controlled separately in System Settings → Notifications → VibePause.
Local processing provides the features you request. VibePause has no app account or cloud session-history service.
3. Optional city and weather
If you choose a city, Apple receives city-search or geocoding requests and the coordinates needed for WeatherKit forecasts. The city and resulting context are stored locally for weather and sunlight suggestions. We do not request GPS or Location Services permission.
You can use VibePause without a city. Remove city context using the local data controls below. Apple handles its services under its privacy policy.
4. Optional app analytics
Usage analytics are off unless available in your app build and you choose to enable them. With your consent, TelemetryDeck receives pseudonymous usage events, including tracked-app session activity, reminder categories and responses, guided-break and focus-timer use, onboarding steps, permission outcomes, viewed tabs and setting changes with their new values.
The app uses a device identifier stored in the Mac Keychain to associate these signals. Pseudonymous data is not the same as anonymous data. No keystrokes, code or window content are included.
In Settings → Privacy → Analytics preference, choose Disabled to stop future signals. Core features remain available. Withdrawal does not undo earlier processing or automatically delete events already received. See TelemetryDeck privacy information and contact us about previously sent data.
5. Website and support
The website does not store marketing attribution, set analytics cookies or send visitor analytics events. It removes browser storage left by an earlier attribution script. Mac App Store links contain campaign labels; following a link takes you to Apple, which handles the visit under its own policies.
Serving and securing the website involves technical request information, such as IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. Hosting systems may record this information in access or error logs. This is separate from app analytics.
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to include. Send only information needed to explain the issue. Support and email providers process these messages to deliver and help answer your request.
6. Purposes, providers and legal bases
We process support information to provide assistance with the app you purchased, and technical website information for our legitimate interests in serving and securing the site. Optional app analytics rely on your consent. Optional city requests are initiated by you to obtain the context you select. Records required by law are processed to meet that obligation.
Apple provides app distribution, payment, geocoding and weather services. TelemetryDeck processes consented product analytics. Hosting and email providers handle website requests and support communications. Apple handles payment details; the app does not collect your payment-card information.
Provider processing locations and any international transfers depend on the service involved. Contact us for information about the providers handling your data and the applicable transfer safeguards.
7. Retention, export and deletion
- Session history and daily coding statistics use a 90-day retention policy. Session history is also limited to the most recent 500 records, so older records may be removed sooner. Cleanup runs as the app processes its stored data.
- Other preferences, city context and local activity records are kept until cleared, replaced or trimmed by the app. They do not all use the same history limit.
- Settings → Privacy → Export Local Data saves a JSON copy of supported settings and activity records to a location you choose.
- Under Settings → Privacy → Danger Zone, Clear Local Data clears app-managed activity and city data. Full Reset also resets app preferences and rotates the pseudonymous device identifier.
- Uninstalling the application is not a guaranteed deletion method. Exported files you saved elsewhere and backups must be managed separately. Local clearing or identifier rotation does not delete analytics or messages already received by a provider.
Support records are retained for resolving the request, relevant follow-up and applicable legal obligations or claims. Website logs and received analytics have separate provider-side retention settings; contact us for the retention information applicable to your request.
8. No sale or advertising sharing
VibePause does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Optional usage analytics serve product improvement, not advertising. You do not need to enable analytics or submit an opt-out request to receive this protection.
9. Your rights and contact
Depending on the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, and withdraw consent. Email [email protected]. We normally respond within one month; complex requests may take longer as permitted by law, with notice to you.
Local controls manage information on your Mac. Requests about support messages, website records or received analytics must be handled separately. We may need limited information to locate your records and verify a request.
You can complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate or your local supervisory authority.
