The Pro tier ($9.99/mo or $79/yr) adds Quiet Hours, guided breaks, full history and insights, Vibe Check, AI nudges, and optional weather and city context. Pro subscriptions include a 7-day free trial.

What coding apps does VibePause detect?

VibePause detects any application by its macOS bundle identifier. It ships with built-in support for VS Code, Xcode, Terminal, iTerm, Cursor, Zed, Warp, and all JetBrains IDEs. You can also add custom apps in Settings.

Does VibePause track my data?

Accepted Answer

Core session data stays on your Mac. Pro AI features send minimal context — session length, time of day, and category — to generate tailored nudges; no keystrokes or app content are ever included. Location is optional and used only for city-level context, with GPS coordinates kept on device and city name sent only for enabled contextual features. A pseudonymous device identifier is stored in Keychain for authentication. Optional analytics remain off unless you opt in and the build supports them.

VibePause runs on macOS 14 (Sonoma) and later. It lives in your menu bar with no Dock icon. Windows and Linux support are not currently planned.

How do AI nudges work?

Accepted Answer

For Pro users, VibePause sends minimal context such as session duration, time of day, category, tone, and optional city or weather context to generate a more tailored break suggestion. No keystrokes are included. If AI is unavailable, the app keeps the break flow going with built-in nudges.
